One of the World's Most Widely Used Diagnostic Desktop Software is Now Web-Enabled

eFilm Plug-in™ provides the ability to utilize the world’s most widely used diagnostic imaging software over the Web using the standard HTTP(s) protocol. By leveraging Cedara I-Reach™, a web-based DICOM server, eFilm Plug-in can be launched as a primary DICOM image viewer enabling referring physicians, clinicians and other healthcare specialists access to medical images using a familiar interface. When integrated with Cedara I-Reach, users can log into a central server, browse and filter studies from the server and view the images in the eFilm Plug-in application. Subsequently, the images along with the eFilm Lite™ viewer can be burned to a CD for later review.

3rd-Party PACS Server Integration

eFilm Plug-in can also be integrated into other 3rd party PACS servers to deliver an expansive range of tools, including window/level presets, synchronized stacking, MPR, reference lines and cine function. In addition to advanced capabilities such as volume rendering, eFilm Plug-in supports the daily workflow of any imaging environment.

Cedara Clinical Control Center (C4)™ Enabled Rapid Plug-in

Cedara Clinical Control Center (C4) is an innovative delivery system which integrates the eFilm Plug-in application with any C4-enabled host to provide a standard interface and collective workflow capabilities. The application’s rapid plug-in feature improves efficiency by fast-tracking new visualization features with minimal impact to the host environment. A single workstation with shared system resources ensures a smooth and user friendly transition between applications with minimal disruption to workflow.

Accelerated Workflow

eFilm Plug-in provides tools and features that allow for a streamlined workflow and improved productivity.

Thumbnail Panel — Experience improved accessibility using the new docking Thumbnail Panel. Click and drag the Thumbnail Panel to dock in any of the viewport’s four corners. Double-click to undock and re-position as desired. For added convenience, the application’s preference settings can be utilized to launch the Thumbnail Panel using the right-click popup menu.

Streamlined Toolbars — Compact toolbars for each modality ensure only those tools required are visible. The application’s simplified and friendly workspace ensures application features such as Previous and Next Images/Series are easy to find and intuitive.

Copy and Paste Functionality — This universal feature enables a user to copy and paste images including annotations and measurements from the eFilm Plug-in application into a standard Windows® environment such as Microsoft® PowerPoint®.

Powerful, yet familiar tools

Utilize the same familiar, powerful tools you have come to expect from the DICOM viewer that is used in thousands of hospitals, imaging centers and clinics worldwide:

Expanded Overlay Attributes — Customizable mammography markers can be displayed as an overlay on images to provide a clear indication of position, independent of text overlays. Display markers in any of the viewport’s four corners, or override a marker by specifying an offset value in percentage or pixels. For added convenience, display and print free-text annotations in a font size of your choice.

Spine Labeling — Simplify the process of interpreting CT and MR images with customizable spine labels. Labels can include arrows for added precision and can be automatically propagated from image to image or series to series as an intuitive means of duplicating regions of interest.

VOI LUT (Value of Interest Lookup Table) — Toggle through multiple image-defined LUT sequences for quick access to preferred window width/level settings for each modality.

WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) DICOM Printing — This intuitive feature provides the option to print images according to how they appear in the viewport. WYSIWYG printing automatically conforms to the format displayed on the screen without manual adjustments.

Cardio-thoracic Ratio (CTR) — The application’s CTR tool allows a user to approximately calculate and display the right and left heart midlines, the thorax diameter, and the cardio-thoracic ratio on a CR or DX PA chest study. Following resizing and repositioning of the midlines and thorax measurement, the ratio automatically updates to reflect changes.
