A New Direction for Breast Imaging With an increasing incidence of breast cancer throughout the western world, medical imaging specialists are constantly looking for new ways to improve screening techniques. In the last several years, breast ultrasound imaging has become increasingly popular to help determine if a biopsy is needed. This widely available, relatively simple and stress free imaging technique for patients is also very operator dependent. As a result, new techniques are required to help analyze and classify physical and morphological characteristics of breast lesions.
